Ariel compressors are provided with a list of special tools, and have a number of optional tools available. All available tools are listed in the Ariel performance software to allow separate purchase.
Ariel compressors are built with some special tool requirements. Special tools that are not available through standard tool suppliers are provided by Ariel with each compressor. These tools include piston rod entering sleeves, spanner wrenches and such. As some installations include many compressor units, these special tools are available to deduct from the compressor purchase.
Some compressor frames require (or recommend) the use of hydraulic tensioning devices. As these are expensive and needed on an installation basis rather than a per unit basis, they are provided as an optional purchase. This allows the tools to be provided for each installation site rather than for each compressor.
Ariel compressors are built using SAE fasteners. As SAE tools are not readily available in all installation locations, an option to provide SAE tools is available in the Ariel performance software.
The SAE tools are broken down into two categories for sale, SAE Hand Tools and SAE Measurement Tools. All tools considered recommended to service the Ariel compressor are provided wtihin this list of tools. Hand tools include the wrenches, socket sets and allen keys. Some general tools such as dead blow hammers and screwdrivers are also included in the Hand Tools. Measurement tools include the dial gauges and torque wrenches.
The hand tools provided are high quality commercial grade tools. Tools are sold as a set, not individually, intended to provide a full start up set of tools.
