Tubing
Ariel provides 304 / 304L
stainless steel tubing, ASTM A213/A269/A511, 1/4 inch O.D. with 0.035
wall and Swagelok zinc plated steel fittings. 0.065
wall tubing is used on higher pressure applications. On larger frames
where welded pipe is required for either the frame oil pump suction pipe
(JGC:D/4 and larger) or the oil filter to galley pipe (JGZ:U/2 and larger)
this pipe is carbon steel with carbon steel fittings and flanges.
316 Stainless steel tubing and
316 Swagelok fittings are available in lieu of the above for sour
gas or corrosive applications. The
stainless steel tubing and fittings option includes the oil system tubing
and fittings. A
second option is available for larger frames (JGC:D/4 and larger) to provide
the frame oil pump suction pipe in stainless steel. Items
maintained in carbon steel despite these options include the frame suction
strainer and the oil galley pipe, both internal to the crankcase and below
the normal oil level.
Refer to the Ariel Pricebook for
these options.
