Requests for Ariel training is in high demand from our international customers. In response to this need, Ariel will hold three pilot training programs in Brisbane, Australia. The Brisbane training sessions will be held at: 247 Bradman St., Acacia Ridge - R block; 1.12 first floor. Training is available exclusively for Ariel customers and their employees (i.e., Ariel Distributors, Ariel Packagers, and Ariel End Users who own, lease and /or service Ariel equipment).

Students must pre register to attend and receive approval from Ariel Training Center to confm their attendance. A confirmation will be sent via email by Ariel's training department, confirming the student's participation, which includes the fee due. Employers are responsible to submit payment on or before the course start date. Students and their employer are responsible for all costs and arrangements for transportation, lodging and meals. Course dates are subject to change.


Basic Product Training

Basic Compressor School
The Basic Product Training course is for operators, mechanics, technicians and anyone new to the gas compressor industry. Classroom training covers the major compressor components and systems,compression theory, routine compressor maintenance intervals, PT and PV diagrams, sizing, valves, capacity control devices, rod load reversal, troubleshooting, packing and piston rings, shaft alignment, bolting, lubrication, forces and couples. All materials are provided. To receive Ariel's "Certificate of Participation" students must attend the full session. Course dates are subject to change.

The fee for this course is $250 USD per student. Companies are required to send payment by wire transfer, for their student(s) when a registration has been approved and attendance is confirmed by Ariel. Ariel Corporation does not accept credit card payments.

Reciprocating Compressor Mechanics School

Reciprocating Compressor Mechanics School
The Compressor Mechanics School is open to those students who have attended either a Basic Product Training course or taken a pre-requisite test. This "hands-on" course is designed for experienced operators, mechanics and service technicians, who will be responsible for the maintenance of Ariel reciprocating compressors. Students will have hands-on experience checking and setting clearances, pressure testing lubrication divider blocks, disassemble and reassemble packings and a variable volume clearance pocket, on a JGK/2 Ariel compressor.  Classroom training will include: bolting and torque, lubrication, maintenance intervals, start-up checklist, and bearings; also how to use the Ariel Performance software. Students must provide their own steel-toe leather footwear during the "hands-on" portion of this school. Athletic steel toe footwear is not allowed. size is limited to 10 students who are qualified.

The test is offered, upon request by contacting: producttraining@arielcorp.com.  Should a student score less than 80%, we will recommend they attend the Basic Product Training course.

Rotary Mechanics School

Rotary School

The Rotary Mechanics School is a "hands on" course for service technicians, mechanics, and experienced operators, who are responsible for operation and maintenance of Ariel Rotary Gear compressors. Students will learn the uses, features, and components of the RGM compressors including: lubrication systems and volume ratio and capacity control devices. Also, hands-on experience removing and replacing the oil pump, mechanical seal, Fannar valve and gear set. Classroom training will include instruction on the Ariel Performance Software for rotary compressors, bolting and torque, assembly, maintenance intervals, and the start-up checklist. Students must provide their own steel-toe footwear. Class size is limited to 10 students. Course dates are subject to change. To receive Ariel's "Certificate of Participation" students must attend the full four day session. Course dates are subject to change.

Technical School

Technical School
The Technical School is designed for those who are responsible for sizing and designing reciprocating or rotary screw compression equipment. Comprehensive instruction of the Ariel Performance software will be conducted and students should bring a laptop computer and actual field conditions to class. This school will emphasize compressor components, applications, operational guidelines, and limits. The Technical School counts as 28 PDH (Professional Development Hours). Classroom discussion will cover bolting, capacity controls, lubrication, valves, packings and rings, cylinder design, and Packagers Standards. All coursework materials and a copy of the Ariel Performance software is provided. Class limited to 30 students. To receive Ariel's "Certificate of Participation" and 28 PDH credit, students must attend the full session. Course dates are subject to change.

Registration and Payment

Registrations are accepted for open sessions on a first-come basis to qualified students. To enroll, select a course above and click the "Register" button, complete the online registration form prior to the course start date and choose the course name. Registrations are accepted when seating is available. A confirmation of enrollment will be sent via e-mail to the contact person listed on the registration form, which includes the fee due. Payment must be made by wire transfer (this information will be included in the confirmation). Ariel Corporation does not accept credit cards. Ariel's Training Center will send a final confirmation for the student's enrollment two weeks prior to the start of the course. The confirmation will be sent via e-mail to the Contact Person with course details, student needs and requirements, driving instructions and maps.


Cancellations and "Waiting List" Requests

Registered, but need to cancel? We respectfully request that you notify our training department as soon as possible or at least 10 business days prior to the course. If a course is closed that you wish to attend, you may request to be put on a "waiting list" and should an opening occur, we will contact you.
