KBE
A medium-sized separable reciprocating compressor, the KBE is engineered, manufactured, and supported to fulfill the natural gas gathering and compression leasing markets' requirements. The KBE is offered with several popular cylinder configurations on a two or four throw frame design.
The KBE features the increased rod load and stiffness of the KB style designs and the E-style cylinders' cost savings. Strength and versatility are the KBE's hallmarks, perfectly hitting a sweet spot for contract compression fleets.

Product Features
Heavy-Duty Crankshafts
The KBE compressor features a forged steel, precision-machined crankshaft with integral counter-weights manufactured specifically by Ariel Corporation.
Full Pressure Lubrication
A frame-driven lube oil pump provides cooled oil through a full-flow oil filter to all the frame's moving components. A divider-block system also supplies metered oil to cylinder bores and rod packings.
Rugged Crankcase
The Ariel crankcase is designed for long service life and ease of access during maintenance. It features a heavily-ribbed, high-strength cast iron base with Ariel's signature lightweight, removable aluminum top cover.

- Gray Iron Crankcase: Forged steel crankshaft, gray iron crosshead guide, bronze thrust bearing, tri-metal main bearing
- Ductile Iron Crosshead: Alloy steel crosshead pin

Innovative Cylinders
Ariel produces versatile cylinders that can be utilized over wide pressure ranges without compromise by using valves that effectively balance reliability and performance. For each compressor frame size, Ariel's lineup of cylinders can fully utilize that frame's horsepower and rod load capabilities. Cylinders can be combined in hundreds of different configurations to deliver the precise volume and pressure of gas required.
Ariel 7 Performance Software is used by Ariel engineers and industry experts to model and design compressor configurations for their specific application. All of our cylinder designs, past and present, can be accessed to duplicate your existing compressor operations or design a new build.
