Ariel Employees Celebrate 50 Years of Business

Celebration Ariel employees enjoy a fun-filled evening listening to Grammy Award-winning Charlie Daniels Band.

Saturday, June 18, more than 2,200 Ariel Corporation employees, retirees, and guests came beautifully and festively dressed to celebrate Ariel’s 50th anniversary in a spectacular 48,000 square foot tent set amidst the many attractions found at Ariel-Foundation Park. Including the restrooms, green rooms, bars, walkways, and other tented areas, the tent ranks as the second-largest in the world, covering a total of 78,000 square feet, or 1.79 acres.

Attendees of this once in a lifetime event were treated to a wonderful sit-down dinner catered by Cameron Mitchell of Columbus, a short speech from President and CEO, Karen Buchwald Wright, honoring the employees, the occasion, and her parents, without whom there would have been no Ariel Corporation.

Then Ms. Wright and five friends (Jodi Pursel, Kate Burley, Jan Reynolds, Phyllis Lowe, and Christy Samples) led the whole assemblage in singing "America the Beautiful." To round out the magical night, the crowd was treated to a performance by the Grammy Award-winning Charlie Daniels Band.
