Head-End Support Mounting Face

Ariel has started to implement a revised mounting face and bolting arrangement for head-end supports on our large frame class cylinders. The graphic above provides a depiction of how head-end cylinder supports are to be mounted and secured in the event mechanical studies recommend their use. 

Please be sure to obtain and utilize the correct outline drawing for your specific cylinder bodies.

In certain installations, head-end supports may be recommended to aid in mechanical energy management. When utilized, the revised head-end support mounting face and bolting arrangement will enhance the structural integrity of your compressor package. While Ariel does not supply head-end supports, we believe it appropriate to facilitate proper attachment to the compressor cylinders we supply.

We have revised the cylinders to include a drilled and tapped bolt circle outside the head-end cylinder head bolting to facilitate the attachment of structural steel support supplied by others. We regard this as another example of our commitment to ensuring world standard compression equipment through our Distribution Network partners.
